Academics
Our Academics
At PS 11x, we strive to ensure that our students receive the best education possible. All of our programs are aligned to the Next Generation Learning Standards and offer multiple entry points so all learners are successful.
Reading
Our literacy program is HMH Into Reading, a research-based program that develops a culture of learning and growth. The Into Reading program is accessible via TeachHub.

Science
Our students are engaged throughout the year with Amplify Science curriculum. It provides hands on activities and experiments through a rigorous curriculum aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards.
Writing
Our writing program is also through HMH Into Reading. Our students write in the three major genres throughout the year: narrative, opinion, and informational writing.

Social Studies
We use the NYC Passport Social Studies program, a curriculum designed to provide authentic hands-on experiences with primary resources as well as promoting critical thinking skills.
Mathematics
Our math program is Envision 2020. It is both student friendly and has a strong digital component as well. It focuses on mathematical understanding and problem solving.

Physical Education
Our students participate in physical and health education several times a week. We promote whole body wellness by teaching them the essentials to maintain healthy bodies inside and out.
Student Council
Student council is the voice of the students at PS 11x.
The students meet monthly with Ms. Rosario to discuss ways to improve the school.
